For this image I wanted to fuse the duochrome cover of Joy Division’s seminal album with one of the most colourful parts of Manchester – the gay village. This is two exposures, the top layer is the majority of the image that you can see and the bottom layer was a shot a few moments later from when the sun shone down the canal and it shines through in the form of the iconic pulsar image. Post punk era Manchester meets the contemporary city we’ve all come to know.
This is 009 in a limited edition run of prints - 10 in each size - once they are gone they are gone forever. Each print has been produced on fine art cotton, is acid free 300gsm paper and will be numbered and signed by 0161
