This is one of the first pictures that I took that I would later fall in love with. It made me want to continue to explore Manchester in my own unique way and to try and capture the different blends that give this city such a unique vibrancy.
Oxford Road / Street is one of the busiest stretches of Manchester City Centre - home to our ever growing student population with the university campuses lining either side, the rock pubs The Salisbury & Grand Central and leads all the way to the glorious St Peter's Square (the end from which this photo was taken) - one of the busiest and beautiful thoroughfares in the north.
This photo was taken early on a Sunday morning in 2011 before the city had fully awoken, before most of the people had come to add another page to Manchester's rich history.
This is the very first image in a limited edition run of prints - 10 in each size - once they are gone they are gone forever. Each print has been produced on fine art cotton, is acid free 300gsm paper and will be numbered and signed by 0161
