Hulme Hippodrome is a sleeping beauty of a building. It once played host to a series of famous acts over the years, including Stan Laurel and there’s even a suggestion that The Beatles themselves graced the stage. Now unfortunately it lies dormant having been abandoned by a controversial owner that still holds the deed to the property. However, inside the building it still retains much of its majesty and it is a wonderful time capsule of a bygone era in a city that its relentlessly hurtling toward the future.
