This Grade II listed park is a jewel in the crown of Manchester -just a short hop away from the city centre it provides a perfect escape from the noise of the metropolis. It has a neoclassical 18th century country house in Heaton Hall and the park has been host to a series of huge gigs over the years, perhaps most notably the return of The Stone Roses in 2012. This picture is taken during a quiet weekday when the sun is setting and made me imagine about what it must have been like for the owners of the grand estate centuries ago.
