The Cornerhouse was Manchester’s premiere art cinema and venue, screening many cult classics that you wouldn’t find at the multiplex. In 2015 the cinema and the bar closed its doors and relocated around the corner to HOME, the impressive £25m arts centre that added a restaurant and an art gallery to the cinema and bar offer. However the old quaint little cinema on the corner of Whitworth St West will always hold a special place in the heart of anyone who visited it. As it was synonymous with great art, I wanted to create an image paid homage to that and so produced this in the style of Vincent Van Gogh’s Starry Night.
