The year 2020 will long be remembered as one of the most tumultuous.  But I’m an optimist by nature and enjoy looking forward again to brighter days.  I love coming to town on Christmas day morning each year as it is at its most serene, with the streets mostly deserted and there’s a real sense of calm that takes hold.  Empty street scenes have become commonplace this year but I wanted to capture a shot of the sun coming up in the distance as it really caught my mood about better days returning.
