Despite being situated in between Deansgate and St Ann’s Square, Barton Arcade absolutely qualifies as a Mancunian hidden gem.  It’s history dates back to 1871 and many of the intricate features unique to the period remain, transporting you back in time when you enter.  It helps that it is home to some excellent independent retailers that gives the place a truly special feel.
